What’s emotional design?

Emotional design refers to the creation of products that trigger desired emotions and generate a positive interaction between users and products. Designers must consider the potential connections between objects and people and the types of emotions that may result from these relationships. The object’s immediate emotional response directly affects the way the user perceives and reacts to it. Designers’ CAD can be described as communication actions. This means that they must understand the person with whom they communicate.

Emotion and Design: The Connection

Each object and thing around you was designed to bring out an emotion. We all react emotionally to our surroundings in different situations. You may be sad or happy about things, for instance, a particular food item, or be overwhelmed by it. Although what you feel is unique is the result of emotions.

An emotion is a way to help people learn more about the world around them. A negative experience can prevent you from repeating the same mistakes.

Visceral Emotion design is a reference to our initial reaction to a product.

The other is called Behavioral Emotional Design. It is a measure of how user-friendly a product. We evaluate the ability of the product to fulfill its intended functions efficiently and how inventor  quickly we can get used the product. Now, we have an understanding of the product.

Reflective Emotional Design, that is an ability to visualize the effect of a product in our lives after we have used it is the last option. Reflective Emotional Design is a method to assess how the product’s influence has affected the lives of us. Designers want to capitalize on the desire to control the product on a reflective level.

Conclusion

A person’s emotions can alter brain functions. Stressful experiences can cause brain function to be impaired.
